Aarohanam on July 27

Lakshmi Ramakrishnan has carved a niche for herself by playing character roles in movies such as 'Pirivom Sandhippom', 'Eeram', 'Nan Mahan Alla', 'Yuddham Sei' and 'Poi Solla Porom'

Now she is ready with her maiden directorial venture, titled  'Aarohanam', which will be released on July 27.

ARM dismisses Suriya's fan!

Microblogging sites can get too much at times for celebrities, especially in the south. Fans of actors praise their favorite actor's director during / before the film's release and later snub them for no reason when the director works with a media rival of the fans' favorite hero.
Unsaid truth directors down south wouldn't deny.

A Suriya fanatic tweeted AR Murugadoss - "Maatraan going to rule this year... Others just stay away from it... Suriya = Class + Mass". ARM promptly replied to this, "Paappa thalli poi vilayadu" (Kid, go play elsewhere). Such a warning from a Suriya fan seems to have irked ARM.

Both the films have been making headlines of late as a box-office clash between Suriya and Ilayathalapathy Vijay is expected this August, as both Thupaki and Maatraan is aiming at an August 15 (Independence Day) release.

Remember fans went crazy during Diwali last year, when both Velayudham and 7aum Arivu released together? Interestingly, the Suriya starrer, 7aum Arivu, was helmed by AR Murugadoss.
