Kamal clears air on 'Viswaroopam 2'

Ever since the Ulaganayagan announced a sequel to his yet-to-be-released magnum opus 'Viswaroopam', rumor mills worked overtime that 'Viswaroopam' is too lengthy a film and scenes were chopped off to be used in the next part!

Kamal Haasan has finally cleared air on this front. He expressed that he wishes to make a sequel for this pet project and nearly 40 % of the sequel has already been shot!

He further added, "I ventured to make this film only after I was convinced that the audience will like it for sure.  We have never seen such a story on the Indian screen in the past.  Viswaroopam touches upon some issues of contemporary national and international politics."

Kamal went on record saying that Viswaroopam is the costliest film in his career.  He plays Vishwanath aka Wiz in the film.  From what is heard of the story, he is not playing double roles but only one.  While Vishwanath is a Kathak dancer, Wiz is an FBI agent.
