Vivek is happy that he is set to play a role with negative shades in 'Vazhipokkam', a Tamil-Kannada bilingual. "An actor should do varied kind of roles. So I am happy for this film," he says.
The top comedian of Tamil cinema says further: "Though it is a villain role, the suspense will be revealed only at the end. And there will be a justification as to why I became so."
Playing down a charge that he had hurt the sentiments of transgender people in his recent venture 'Murattu Kaalai', Vivek says, "I didn't intend to hurt anyone. The character I played in Murattu Kaalai also speaks for transgenders' welfare."
Besides 'Vazhipokkan', Vivek will be seen in another Tamil-Kannada bilingual, 'Chandra', which has Shriya as the heroine. In Kollywood, he is part of 'Singam 2', 'Saravana Poigai', 'Patthayiram Kodi' and 'Mudhal Murai Parthen'.
