Karthi Sivakumar and Anushka Shetty recently shot for a risky fight sequence on a running train for their upcoming film 'Alex Pandian'. The highlight of the scene was both the actors jumping into a river from the top of the train!
According to a press note from the makers of the film, the stunt scene was shot for 15 days, between Mysore and Krishnaraja Sagar dam. A train was rented for the purpose and more than 50 stunt artistes worked for the scene.
"Though Karthi and Anushka were insisted to use body doubles, they dismissed the idea and performed on their own. As per the story, Karthi and Anushka were traveling on a train and they were chased with vehicles and helicopter by Suman and Milind Soman," the release stated.
The scene was choreographed by Ganesh and was shot by Saravanan. "The production house Studio Green is not bothered about expenses. All that it needs is quality output. The stunt scene shot at Rs 2 crore is just an example to that," the film's director Suraj was quoted as saying.
